2,3,6-Trichloronaphthalene is a chlorinated hydrocarbon that is used as an industrial chemical. It has been shown to cause cancer in animals and may be carcinogenic to humans. 2,3,6-Trichloronaphthalene binds with chlorine atoms to form polychlorinated naphthalenes (PCNs) which are found in the environment and in human tissues. The linear regression analysis of the data showed that PCN levels were associated with an increase in the number of chlorine atoms per molecule. This indicates that there is a correlation between the number of chlorine atoms and the level of PCN detected.
