Description

O6-[4-(Trifluoroacetamidomethyl)benzyl]guanine is a modified nucleoside that is an inhibitor of microRNAs (miRNAs). It can be used as a therapeutic agent for the treatment of cancer. O6-[4-(Trifluoroacetamidomethyl)benzyl]guanine is orally bioavailable and has shown tumor inhibition in invertebrate models. It is stable in vivo and has been shown to inhibit the activity of miRNA-1, miRNA-2, and miRNA-29b. This molecule also provides optimal orientation for highlighting through its large size, which makes it suitable for use with electron microscopy.
