Description:
1,3,5-Trivinyl-1,3,5-trimethylcyclotrisiloxane is a functionalized siloxane that can be used as an acid catalyst. It has been shown to have a high catalytic activity for the ring-opening polymerization of 3-mercaptopropionic acid. The reaction is carried out in a solution of trifluoromethanesulfonic acid and carbon nanotubes. This type of catalyst has also been found to produce magnetic nanoparticles with a constant filament length.
