N-tert-Butyl-O-[1-[4-(chloromethyl)phenyl]ethyl]-N-(2-methyl-1-phenylpropyl)hydroxylamine is a polymerization initiator that can be used to produce polymers by stepwise addition of monomers. It is an aliphatic amine that has been found to be a good monomer for the synthesis of poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC).
