4-N-propyl-4-(trans-4-nonyl)phenol is a synthetic compound that is used in the synthesis of magnetic materials. It has been shown to be soluble in polystyrene and can be dissolved in uv irradiation, sodium nitrate, or covalent bonds. 4-(Trans-4-N-propylclohexyl)phenol has been shown to have affinity for multiwalled carbon and polystyrene, which are both used as magnetic materials. This compound can be synthesized using a method called irradiation. The optical microscope is an example of a method that has been developed with advances in this field. 4-(Trans-4-N-propylclohexyl)phenol also has properties that make it suitable for use as an optical material for the construction of advanced devices such as polarizers, light guides, and optical switches.
