Description:
2,4,6-Trimethylheptane is a reactive chemical with enthalpic properties. It is an oxidation product of decursin and can be found in the profile of some plants. 2,4,6-Trimethylheptane has been shown to react with alkoxy radicals and form reactive intermediates that are able to participate in the decursin reaction. This compound is also able to generate steric interactions with other active substances and may cause cancer. The kinetic studies on this compound have revealed that it relaxes bladder cancer cells by inhibiting their proliferation.
