Triprolidine hydrochloride is a film-forming polymer that can be used as a mouthwash or denture adhesive. It is also used in the treatment of nasal and sinus congestion caused by the common cold, allergies, hay fever, and other upper respiratory ailments. Triprolidine hydrochloride has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria in human serum and urine samples. This drug may be useful for the prevention of dental plaque formation.
