Description

4-Tert-butylcyclohexyl acrylate is a monomer that belongs to the group of trimethylolpropane. It is a colorless liquid that has viscosity and can be used in assays to determine the molecular weight of polymers. 4-Tert-butylcyclohexyl acrylate can also be used as a monomer for acrylates, which are compounds created by the reaction of an acrylate with an alcohol. This monomer can be polymerized with ethylene and diethylene glycol to form polyesters or polyurethanes. 4-Tert-butylcyclohexyl acrylate is reactive enough to react with uv irradiation, which produces free radicals, leading to crosslinking reactions.
