Tetraaminoantimony (TAA) is a neutralizing agent that is used in the manufacture of polyvinyl chloride resins. TAA is also used as an analytical reagent for the determination of hydrogen, alkoxy, and methane. The TAA molecule has two phenyl groups and four hydrogen atoms. It absorbs yellow light between 400 and 500 nm, giving it a yellow color. The structural formula of TAA is shown below:
The molecular formula for Tetraaminoantimony (TAA) is Sb(NH)(OH). The molecular weight of TAA is 273.88 g/mol, with each NH group containing 18.00 g/mol, each OH group containing 18.00 g/mol, and each Sb atom containing 132.07 g/mol.
