Description:
4-(Trifluoromethyl)phenyl hydrazine is a synthetic chemical that is used in the preparation of polyalthenols. It has nucleophilic properties and can be used in the reaction of hydrochloric acid with sodium nitrite to form an amide. 4-(Trifluoromethyl)phenyl hydrazine can also be used as a reagent for the preparation of trifluoroacetic acid, which is an industrial solvent. This compound has been shown to have anti-tumor activity against several cell lines, as well as being cytotoxic to tumour cells when combined with trifluoroacetic acid.
