- Triethyl Phosphate (TEP)
Triethyl phosphate (TEP) is a fatty acid that has been shown to exhibit chronic toxic effects in a model system. TEP is known to be used as an additive in water-based paints and varnishes, which may lead to exposure through inhalation or skin contact. The Langmuir adsorption isotherm has been used to assess the TEP solubility in water at different temperatures. In addition, the toxicity of TEP has been studied using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. This technique was also used for the determination of triethyl phosphate content in different media, including sodium succinate, analytical method and sodium citrate. The LC-MS/MS method was used for the identification of triethyl phosphate in water vapor samples.
