1,1,7,7-Tetramethyl-2,3,6,7-tetrahydro-1H,5H-pyrido[3,2,1-ij]quinoline-9-carbaldehyde is a congestive heart agent that belongs to the class of amido compounds. It has been shown to be an effective treatment for congestive heart failure in animals and humans. 1,1,7,7-Tetramethyl-2,3,6,7-tetrahydro--1H5H pyrido[3 2 1 ij]quinoline 9 carbaldehyde is also used as an ingredient in detergent compositions and may have other applications such as the inhibition of bone growth and energy metabolism.
