Description

1-(2,4,6-Triisopropylbenzenesulfonyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole is a peptide hormone analog that binds to protein. It can be used to study the interaction between proteins and peptide hormones. 1-(2,4,6-Triisopropylbenzenesulfonyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole has been shown to stimulate protein synthesis in rat liver microsomes and mammalian cells when they are incubated at an acidic environment. This analog of the tripeptide hormone thyrotropin releasing hormone (TRH) was found to have an optimum pH of 5.0 and also stimulated recombinant protein production in plant cells.
