2,3,4,5-Tetrahydro-1H-pyrido[4,3-b]indole is a heterocyclic compound that belongs to the class of ethenyl compounds. It has an acidic character and is an effective diluent for organic solvents such as xylene. 2,3,4,5-Tetrahydro-1H-pyrido[4,3-b]indole has shown to be effective in treating psychotic disorders due to its ability to increase serotonin levels and normalize dopamine release.
