Product Information
- Thieno[3,2-B]Pyridin-3-Amine
Thienopyridines are a class of chemical compounds that contain a thieno[3,2-b]pyridin-3-amine nucleus. Thienopyridines are used in the production of other chemicals, such as chloroacetamide and triethyl orthoformate. The yield of thienopyridines can be increased by using photochemical or electrochemical oxidation, followed by nitrous acid treatment. The interaction between two molecules of thienopyridine with different substituents has been studied using x-ray crystallography. Thienopyridines can be oxidized to form chlorothiophenes. This reaction is catalyzed by chlorine, which is also used to make them in the first place.
