Product Information
- 1,3-Thiazole-5-Carboxamide
- 5-Thiazolecarboxamide
Thiazole-5-carboxamide is a pharmaceutical agent that inhibits the activity of the influenza virus. This drug is orally bioavailable and has been shown to inhibit the growth of both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, including P. aeruginosa, by blocking protein synthesis. It inhibits cancer cell proliferation in vitro and in vivo by inhibiting the formation of hydrogen bonds between amino acid residues on the surface of proteins. Thiazole-5-carboxamide also inhibits amide activation and prevents amidation or chlorination of aromatic rings. This drug has been shown to inhibit tumor growth by targeting tyrosine kinases, such as Dasatinib, which are involved in cell proliferation.
