Triethoxyvinylsilane is a chemical compound with the chemical formula CH3CH2OCH2Si(OEt)3. It is an organosilicon compound that is used as a cross-linking agent and an intermediate in organic synthesis. Triethoxyvinylsilane has been shown to be reactive with water vapor, hydrochloric acid, and sodium carbonate. It also reacts with dimethyl fumarate to form the corresponding bis(dimethyl fumarate) derivative. The process optimization of triethoxyvinylsilane for wastewater treatment has been studied using cationic surfactants, copper complexes, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. Triethoxyvinylsilane has shown to be chemically stable at room temperature for up to 2 years.
