2,4,6-Triphenoxy-1,3,5-triazine is a triazine that is used as a stabilizer in plastics. It is synthesized from biphenyl and chloroacetic acid. 2,4,6-Triphenoxy-1,3,5-triazine is a molecule with the chemical formula C6H3(OH)2ClO3 and the molecular weight of 230.2 g/mol. The molecule consists of three phenol rings and six chlorine atoms arranged in a hexagonal ring with alternating hydroxyl groups and ester compounds. The biphenyl group at the end of the molecule stabilizes it by inhibiting its reactivity with other molecules. The activation energy for this reaction is 20 kJ/mol.
