Product Information
Tetrakis(acetonitrile)copper(I) Tetrafluoroborate (Cu-NHCF4) is a metal-organic compound that is used as a catalyst in the palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction. This molecule consists of copper and nitrogen atoms and has a helical structure. It can be dissolved in sodium salts, such as tetrahydrofuran, to form a coordination complex with the carbonyl group. The intramolecular hydrogen bonds are stabilized by the triazine ring system.
The x-ray crystal structures reveal an intermolecular hydrogen bond between the copper atom and the triazine ring system. The molecular geometry of Cu-NHCF4 is trigonal planar with D₁ symmetry. The calculated bond distances for this molecule are 0.973 nm for Cu1-N1, 1.003 nm for Cu1-C2, and 1.078
