Tetraethylammonium Fluoride Trihydrofluoride (TEAF) is a synthetic, water-soluble compound. It is an alkoxycarbonyl fluoride that has been shown to be stable in acidic environments and moderately soluble in organic solvents. TEAF has a molecular weight of 158.07 and a density of 1.2 g/cm3 at 20°C. The molecular modelling of the compound suggests that it will have good fluidity with deionized water, chlorine gas, fluorine gas, and nitrous oxide and will not react with polycarboxylic acids or mercapto groups.
