Product Information
- Phosphine, tri-2-thienyl-
- Tri-2-thienylphosphine
- Trithiophen-2-Ylphosphane
Tri(2-thienyl)phosphine (TPPS) is a diphosphine ligand that is used in the functionalization of metal complexes. TPPS has been shown to react with xylene and triflic acid to form the corresponding cleavage products. The reaction rate of TPPS is dependent on the bond cleavage. In addition, TPPS can be activated with methylaluminoxane and various other reagents, which allows for the synthesis of compounds containing phosphorus-carbon bonds. The chemical structure of TPPS consists of two thiophene rings linked by a diphosphine group. This molecule has been determined by X-ray crystallography and NMR spectroscopic data.
