Description

Tetraisobutyl orthotitanate is an inorganic acid with a chemical formula of TiO. It is a particle that has been shown to have synergic effects when used as a solid catalyst with other compounds such as glycol ethers, zirconium oxide, and fluorescence probes. FT-IR spectroscopy has revealed the presence of hydroxyl groups on the surface of this compound. Electrochemical data has shown that tetraisobutyl orthotitanate can be electrochemically active at low potentials.

Tetraisobutyl orthotitanate can be used in wastewater treatment as it can provide high levels of nitrogen removal by converting nitrate to nitrogen gas.
