2-(Trimethylsilyl)ethyl 3-Nitro-1H-1,2,4-triazole-1-carboxylate is an organic reagent that reacts with amines to form the corresponding 2-(trimethylsilyl)ethyl nitrosoamine. It has a yellow crystalline solid and should be stored in a refrigerator. The solubility of this reagent is good in alcohols and it is soluble in amines. This reagent also reacts with ethyl acetoacetate to form the corresponding ester.
