Triphenylsilane is a polymer film cross-linking agent that has been used in the production of polyvinyl chloride resins. It can be used as a reactive diluent for the preparation of epoxy resins and as a coupling agent in the Suzuki reaction. Triphenylsilane also has low energy, which makes it suitable for use with hydrogen peroxide free radical polymerization. The NMR spectra of triphenylsilane show that the molecule contains three hydroxyl groups, two nitrogen atoms, and one chlorine atom. In addition, triphenylsilane can be modeled using molecular modeling software.
