Description:

Tetraisothiocyanatosilane is a pharmaceutical preparation that contains hydroxy groups. It is used as a diagnostic agent for cardiac diseases and as a viscosity-increasing agent in the production of polycarboxylic acids, amides, and other organic compounds. Tetraisothiocyanatosilane also has an anti-inflammatory effect, which may be due to its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis. This drug has tuberculostatic activities against Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other mycobacteria. Tetraisothiocyanatosilane is also an active substance for the treatment of autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.
