Description

c1-[3-(Trimethoxysilyl)propyl]urea is a neutral particle with a reactive hydroxide group. It is soluble in water and organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, or chloroform. The chemical stability of c1-[3-(Trimethoxysilyl)propyl]urea is high, with no evidence of decomposition or polymerization. It has been used as a film-forming polymer in polyurethane coatings and as an additive for polyamides to improve their resistance to wear and heat aging.
