Product Information
- 1,3,5-Tri(4-carboxyphenyl)benzene
1,3,5-Tris(4-carboxyphenyl)benzene is a macrocyclic molecule with an organic solvent property. It is synthesized by the reaction of boron nitride with 1,3,5-tris(4-carboxyphenyl)benzene in the presence of metal ion. The luminescent properties of this compound are due to its ability to absorb light at wavelengths longer than 400 nm and emit light at wavelengths shorter than 300 nm. This compound has been shown to be photocatalytic and activated by water vapor or boron nitride. 1,3,5-Tris(4-carboxyphenyl)benzene can be used as a linker in copolymerization reactions with other molecules such as polystyrene.
