Description:

Tris(2-ethylhexyl) phosphate (TEHP) is a corrosion inhibitor that is used in the treatment of wastewater. It has been shown to be effective in the removal of chromium, lead, and mercury from wastewater. TEHP can be used as a synergist with other chemicals in wastewater treatment. TEHP can also be used to prepare samples for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy analysis. TEHP is toxic at high concentrations but does not produce long-term toxicity because it is rapidly metabolized by enzymes in the liver and excreted through urine.END>>
