Product Information
- 9H-carbazole, 9-(4-methylphenyl)-
9-(p-Tolyl)carbazole is an organic compound that can be used as a reusable and ancillary ligand. It has been shown to emit light at room temperature with a wavelength of 550 nm. 9-(p-Tolyl)carbazole is also able to absorb light with a wavelength of 300 nm and emit it at 500 nm, which may be due to the photophysical properties of nitrogen atoms in the molecule. The vibrational spectroscopy study of 9-(p-tolyl)carbazole has shown that it has two different types of molecular orbitals: one type contains two electrons, while the other type contains four electrons. This means that 9-(p-Tolyl)carbazole can form two different chemical structures and have two different efficiencies. The crystal x-ray diffraction study shows that this molecule has a polydentate structure with methyleneamino groups on both ends.
