Product Information

Name:
2,4,5-Tribromotoluene
Description:

2,4,5-Tribromotoluene is a solvent that is used for bulk polymerization. It is insoluble in water and has low volatility. 2,4,5-Tribromotoluene can be used as a monomer or a precursor to other polymers. The solubility of 2,4,5-Tribromotoluene can be increased by adding solvents such as benzene. The molecular descriptor transfer (MDx) technique was used with linear regression to predict the solubility of 2,4,5-Tribromotoluene based on its molecular properties. Neural networks were also used to predict the solubility of 2,4,5-Tribromotoluene based on its molecular descriptors. The minimization technique was then applied to find the optimal values for these descriptors that would give the best prediction.
