Description:
2,4,6-Trimethoxyaniline is an organic compound with a variety of uses. It is a precursor for many pharmaceuticals and can be used as an intermediate in the synthesis of other compounds. 2,4,6-Trimethoxyaniline has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth by inhibiting the synthesis of DNA and protein. This compound has also been shown to have antibacterial activity against gram-positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. It also inhibits the production of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) that are involved in inflammation.
