Description

3,7,4'-Trihydroxyflavone is a bioactive phenolic compound that has a hydroxyl group and a uvb-induced 3',4'-dihydroxyl group. It is found in the genus Hydrocotyle and is pharmacokinetically active. The analytical methods for determining the concentration of this compound are HPLC and LC-MS. This compound has potent cytotoxicity against skin cancer cells, as demonstrated by its significant cytotoxicity against A431 cells. 3,7,4'-Trihydroxyflavone also induces monoclonal antibodies which may be useful for cancer therapy.
