Triphenylvinylsilane is a molecule that is used as a coating in microscopy. It has been shown to be effective as a polymerization initiator, and can produce thin, heat-resistant films of polymers on metal surfaces. Triphenylvinylsilane has also been used in the synthesis of silicone resins and cross-linking agents with ethyl groups.
