Product Information
- Trifluorovinyl radical
Trifluorovinyl radical is a reactive intermediate in organic chemistry that has the formula CF3•. It is a reactive species that has been shown to react with ethylene to produce ethylidyne. Trifluorovinyl radical has also been detected in high concentrations by infrared spectroscopy of fluorine-containing gases. The vibrational frequencies of trifluorovinyl radical are measured using a laser diode and are found to be 1020 cm-1 for the ground state and 1026 cm-1 for the first excited state. Kinetics and dynamics have been studied by spin resonance spectroscopy, which provides information about the changes in spin orientation as well as the time course of these changes.
