Product Information
3-(Trifluoromethyl)styrene is a cross-coupling reagent that can be used for the synthesis of complex organic compounds. It has been shown to be an effective anticancer agent in cell culture, and also exhibits strong anti-proliferative effects in vivo. The mechanism of action is unclear, but may involve inhibition of DNA synthesis by cross-linkage with nucleic acids. 3-(Trifluoromethyl)styrene has a high kinetic constant and is soluble in water. It reacts with halides and proton sources at lower temperatures than other styrenes, which makes it advantageous for use as a solvent.
