Description:

N-(2,2,2-Trifluoroethyl)Aniline is an electron-withdrawing reagent that can be used in the fluorination of organic compounds. This product is used to form azides by reacting with ammonia and has been shown to be useful in the synthesis of biologically active compounds. The high specific activity and chemical stability make this reagent a valuable fluorinating agent. N-(2,2,2-Trifluoroethyl)Aniline is also a labile ligand that can bind to metal ions such as copper or nickel. It is acetylated easily and therefore has low solubility in water.
