1,1,4,4-Tetrafluoro-1,3-butadiene is a fluorinated organic chemical that is used in the synthesis of polymers. It copolymerizes with styrene and other monomers to form a variety of thermoplastic elastomers. The thermal isomerization of 1,1,4,4-tetrafluoro-1,3-butadiene can be detected by magnetic resonance spectroscopy. In addition to its use as an industrial monomer, 1,1,4,4-tetrafluoro-1,3-butadiene has been shown to have applications in the development of magnetic materials. This molecule has been studied using Raman spectra and NMR spectra.
