Description:

4-(Trifluoromethoxy)Benzamidoxime is a heterocyclic amine compound that is used in the synthesis of hydroxamic acids, hydroxamate, and tetrazole. It has been shown to selectively inhibit MMP-1 over MMP-2, which may be due to its preferentially binding to the active site of MMP-1. 4-(Trifluoromethoxy)Benzamidoxime also inhibits xanthine oxidase and tyrosinase activity. The benzamide isosteres can be synthesized from this molecule by reaction with 3-aminobenzoyl chloride or 3-aminobenzamide.
