Description:
2,4,5,6-Tetrafluoroisophthalamide is a quinoline derivative with two chlorine atoms and two fluorine atoms. It has antibacterial activity against Gram-positive bacteria and is also active against Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This molecule has been shown to react with an azide group to form an organometallic compound that can be used as an antibacterial agent. The tetrahydrofuran (THF) reaction system was used for this reaction. The optical activity of the resulting compound is determined by the orientation of the molecules in a THF solution.
