Description:
Trifluoro-4-pyridinyl-borate potassium (TfBK) is a catalyst that is used in organic synthesis for the Suzuki coupling reaction. The catalytic activity of TfBK is high and it has been shown to be selective for the Valsartan family. It has been shown to catalyze reactions at room temperature, with yields comparable to those observed at higher temperatures. TfBK has a spectra similar to pyridine and acetonitrile, which are also active as catalysts in Suzuki coupling reactions.
