Description:
1,1,1-Trifluoro-6-Methylheptane-2,4-Dione is a chelating agent that has been used as an extractant in the separation of rare earth elements and actinides. 1,1,1-Trifluoro-6-Methylheptane-2,4-Dione can be sublimed at 150°C without decomposition. It has been shown to be anhydrous and does not contain any water of crystallization. 1,1,1-Trifluoro-6-Methylheptane-2,4-Dione reacts with neodymium to form neodymium trifluoride.
