Product Information
- Ethanol, 2,2,2-trifluoro-, dihydrogen phosphate
2,2,2-Trifluoroethyl Dihydrogen Phosphate is a substrate for the enzyme phosphatase. It is a phosphate ester that hydrolyzes to form water and 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol. When the substrate concentration increases in an enzymatic reaction, the rate of the reaction also increases. The kinetic constants are calculated from measurements of the initial velocity of an enzymatic reaction at various substrate concentrations. These constants can be used to calculate the rate constant for a specific enzyme-substrate system. The phosphatase activity was measured using tyrosine as a substrate and showed that calcineurin was capable of catalyzing this reaction. The enzyme's activity increased with increasing substrate concentration.
