6-(Trifluoromethyl)Quinazoline-2,4-Diamine is a synthetic compound that has antibacterial properties. It inhibits the synthesis of bacterial proteins by interfering with the production of amino acids. 6-(Trifluoromethyl)Quinazoline-2,4-Diamine has been shown to be effective against Mycobacterium smegmatis cells and Mycobacterium smegmatis type strain. This drug also showed sensitivity to mutant strains of M. smegmatis, which may provide a better understanding of its mechanism of action.
