Description:

5-(Trifluoromethyl)-2-pyridinyl]acetic acid is an organic compound that is used as a catalyst in the production of polyvinyl chloride. It is also used as an intermediate for the synthesis of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. 5-(Trifluoromethyl)-2-pyridinyl]acetic acid is a diethyl malonate derivative, which can be synthesized by reacting diethyl malonate with sodium ethoxide in an organic solvent. This chemical has been shown to be controllable for the synthesis of polyvinyl chloride.
