Description:
3-(Trifluoromethyl)-3-(3-Iodophenyl)Diazirine is a noncompetitive inhibitor of acetylcholine, which binds to the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor on the surface of leishmania. This drug has been shown to modulate surface proteins and subunits that are important in calcium binding and voltage-dependent calcium channels. 3-(Trifluoromethyl)-3-(3-Iodophenyl)Diazirine is not active against acetylcholine receptors in the central nervous system.
