In addition to its use in the laboratory for dehalogenation reactions and aromatization reactions, 1,1,2-tribromo-2,3,3,4 4 pentafluorocyclobutane has been shown to be useful for dehalogenative reactions such as the conversion of naphthalenes to cyclohexanes.
