Description:
1,1,1-Trifluoro-2-(trifluoromethyl)pent-4-en-2-ol is a fluorinated alcohol that has been shown to have transcriptional regulatory activity. It binds to the glucocorticoid receptor and competes with dexamethasone for binding. 1,1,1-Trifluoro-2-(trifluoromethyl)pent-4-en-2-ol also possesses hydrogen bond donating properties and can form copolymers with other polymers.
