Description

2-[3-(Trifluoromethyl)-beta-Oxophenethyl]Benzoic Acid is a progesterone receptor modulator that binds to the progesterone receptor and blocks the binding of progesterone. It has been shown to have a potent effect on the inhibition of cell proliferation in vitro, as well as anti-proliferative activity in vivo, and is used for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases. 2-[3-(Trifluoromethyl)-beta-Oxophenethyl]Benzoic Acid has also been shown to be an antagonist at muscarinic M1 receptors. This drug is absorbed through skin upon topical application, but not orally. 2-[3-(Trifluoromethyl)-beta-Oxophenethyl]Benzoic Acid also has a strong organoleptic property which can be detected by humans.
