Product Information
Tripotassium (2Z)-3-fluoro-2-(phosphonatooxy)acrylate is a vinyl ether that has been shown to react with a coordination complex. Tripotassium (2Z)-3-fluoro-2-(phosphonatooxy)acrylate forms a ternary complex with phosphoenolpyruvate and an enzyme called synthase. The reaction between the vinyl ether and the coordination complex provides energy for cellular energy metabolism, which is essential for life processes. The geometric isomers of tripotassium (2Z)-3-fluoro-2-(phosphonatooxy)acrylate were studied by X-ray diffraction. Sodium periodate was used to dephosphorylate tripotassium (2Z)-3-fluoro-2-(phosphonatooxy)acrylate, forming 2,5-difluorobenzaldehyde.
