1,1,2,2-Tetrafluoro-3-(1,1,2,2-Tetrafluoroethoxy)Propane is a gas that has been used as a dye structure. It is also used in frequencies to measure molecular transfer rates. 1,1,2,2-Tetrafluoro-3-(1,1,2,2-Tetrafluoroethoxy)Propane has been experimentally demonstrated to be able to photoinitiate the polymerization of acrylic and methacrylic esters. The spectrum of this compound is characterized by bands at about 390 nm and 420 nm and it can be used for photopolymerization with an argon laser.
